In the midst of conversation, many try to ask me at times what I would rate the person in question out of 10. I’m very complex when it comes to stuff like that. To me, it cannot be done.
I have people around me who speak, and accept people, and pay attention. And I have people around me who don’t speak. And when I say “around me”, I’m talking in regards to social networking sites.
For starters, you could never be a 10 unless we’re married. At most you’d be a 9.5 if we’re not, and that’s a tough number to gain. But people around me, not speaking, I take offence to. Why? Because it doesn’t take that much to have an interest in somebody else for a few seconds of their lives.
Not to brag, but for me being a singer - when people try to suck up to you, and they don’t speak to you when you attempt to converse, but have only just found out that you sing - it’s quite sad to be honest. With me, if I’ve taken an interest in you, and you’ve failed to do the same? Losing points.
You have the ones who just do not speak. The ones whose personalities should carry fines. It’s just impossible to rate somebody on looks when their personality has such unnattractive traits.
I’ve been singing for about 11 years now. It’s been quite a journey to get to where I am in the first place, whether it’s to do with the people I’ve met along the way, or encountered.
I’ve been songwriting and producing for the same amount of time. Because I never really warmed to the idea of singing words than others had written. Others can do but I rarely or even never can. Producing I’m more flexible with but at the same time I enjoy 3% of other producers’ compositions - mostly because I can only envision a certain musical progression when it comes to UK R&B. I’ve felt very passionately about this issue for a very long time, but maybe for another time ay?
I’ve been dancing for about the same time also, more so since 2001 with the release of B2K’s Uh Huh and 112’s It’s Over Now [These 2 videos in particular, along with a lot of Sisqo, would be the music videos I would imitate over and over after recording them onto VHS]. With all the talents I have, I’ve never trained - only practiced. Learnt from scratch with everything I do. Including dance. Again, another time…
Now, I’ve been skating for about 15 years. My first pair of inline skates I’m sure were purchased from Croydon, and had plastic wheels [yes - eww.]
So as those eroded into nothingness my mum took me into Argos and I got my hands on my 1st pair of aggressive skates. This is when my hobby started to take off to a larger scale than before. And it was truly the best feeling.
After those black skates I bought some black+red skates, and during this time I had only just started getting into music also, which resulted in me leaving skating behind - until now.
Along with purchasing a few items that are needed in my very hectic life [15” MacBook Pro with Logic Pro] skates are definitely on the list. And I will be recording footage of myself skating in the beautiful City Of London [with a Flip Ultra HD camcorder].
In other news I’m still working on my music - always baby. First EP coming really soon. Gotta make enough to go and secure the girl of my dreams…
Always nice when you’ve been looking in the shop window at her for a while and you can finally afford her.
